I'm Derrick — jhusdero to most of the internet. I've spent 13 years building software and the systems around it, which means I've seen ideas at every stage: the napkin sketch, the first deploy, the 2 a.m. incident, and the version people actually love using.
What I care about is shipping the whole thing. Not just the frontend, not just the API — the product. I work comfortably across web, mobile, backend, and cloud infrastructure, and I build interfaces that non-technical people can use without a manual.
When I'm not building, I'm a husband, a music lover, and a DJ — which turns out to be great training for engineering: read the room, keep the energy up, and never let the transition fall apart.
